Buying a Bar in Spain

bar2Who can  buy a bar in Spain? Quite simply, anyone! It is always easier for EU citizens as they have the same rights as a Spanish national. You must have available funds as Spanish banks very rarely loan money for a leasehold business purchase and you must have an N.I.E number, which we can help arrange for you. Many people think that running a business in Spain is difficult, but in reality, it is not. It is much easier in Spain than the UK.

How can I view available bars?

Most Estate agents can arrange a viewing inspection trip for you, which will enable you to see what is available.

Only a visit to Spain’s Costa del Sol can truly satisfy any wish to make the move to a new and different life style. If you are considering buying a business in Spain, only the actual viewing of a business for sale answers a wealth of unanswered questions.

Whilst you are here to view businesses on the Costa del Sol you should have an initial meeting with an independent Spanish lawyer and an accountant. This would enable you to ask in depth questions with regard to living, working and buying a business in Spain.

Do I need to bring a cash deposit with me?

NO – you don’t! There are many agents on the Costa del Sol who have an impressive website, but they have no office, no licence, no landline phone number and no morals.

Make sure the agents allows you to make an unhurried, no pressure decision on your new business venture. Whilst you may see something that you fall in love with and want to place an immediate cash deposit to reserve it, in which case the business is reserved for you. However it usually better to go home and make your final decission in the comfort of your home and then transfer the deposit by bank transfer.
