The marks of a fine restaurant are the bread, the soup, the house wine and the piano player. In Marbella, Hotel el Fuerte has a nice grand piano and sometimes a pianist. The Havana Cafe has a piano but no pianist. The Incosol Hotel has a fine pianist twice a week. Da Bruno sul Mare has a piano and a trio. Have I missed one?

Marbella is a great place. In determining the best restaurant in that place, it’s relative as it depends on what one likes for a meal and for a place. Do some surfing on the net and see more of the available places to dine in in that area.

Many, many candidates. I even like the top-floor cafes in El Corte Inglés in Puerto Banus and Marbella.

Another vote for Paperdella @ Laguna Village.

However, my favourite is Casanis in the Old Town of Marbella. Beautiful French Bistro, excellent food.

I am significantly less wealthy than Barry so I have to say that my favourite at the moment is Restaurante Acebucha in Marbella. Recommended for lunch, the menu del dia is only 9.90€ for three courses with a drink and the quality and variety in incredible. The service is also excellent, extremely friendly and makes a refreshing change!

The restaurant is situated next door to the Hotel Baviera on Camino del Calvario, in the centre of Marbella.
